The sprites in The Genesis project currently work differently than the ones in Homestuck, some major differences being:
-- The Kernelsprite splits...

  +
* You may only prototype a sprite once, as opposed to twice.
  +
* Sprites are only capable of healing, instead of being combatants
  +
* Sprites and their prototyping do not currently affect the outcome of a TGP session or alter Skaia.
  +
A fun thing to note is that prototyping does alter enemies. It appears to be cosmetic for the time being, but that may be subject to change.

  +
Types of Sprites
When you enter The Medium your Kernel Sprite will divide itself in two. Turning into a Kernel, and a Sprite. The Kernel splits into two as well, one going to Prospit and one to Derse. This will in turn change the enemies you encounter. For instance if I prototype a sword and enter, enemies will start appearing with swords.

Now the import thing to notice about sprites, they can be prototypes two times. Which gives us three types of prototyping, Both before entering the medium, ( Two enemy changes ). One before and one after, ( One enemy change, one personal change). Or both after, ( Two personal changes).

Upon opening your Cruxtruder for the first time It will produce a flashing orb known as a Kernelsprite. Like in Homestuck, Kernelsprites are supposed to serve as guides to the player and help them throughout their journey. But before that, Kernelsprites must be Prototyped. Prototyping a Kernelsprite involves combining the Kernelsprite with something, be it an inanimate object or creature(Alive or deceased). In The Genesis Project, this can be done by having it bump into a compatible item. After the Kernelsprite is prototyped, the player must then enter The Medium for their sprite to become useful. At that point, they can assist the player in combat but more importantly give them information about Sburb and the player's personal quest.

The sprites in The Genesis project currently work differently than the ones in Homestuck, some major differences being:

 • You may only prototype a sprite once, as opposed to twice.
 • Sprites are only capable of healing, instead of being combatants
 • Sprites and their prototyping do not currently affect the outcome of a TGP session or alter Skaia.

A fun thing to note is that prototyping does alter enemies. It appears to be cosmetic for the time being, but that may be subject to change.

Types of Sprites
